This week in class we do comps and evaluate our designs before we get into production. I thought I should provide you some resources you could use outside of class in case some of your best work happens outside of studio.
I thought this was an interesting concept, a website designed for providing feedback on comps and mockups. It's called conceptfeedback.com. At the very lease you'll be able to browse other people's concept work.
Pencil is a free GPL User Interface mockup tool that works through Firefox. It's a pretty interesting idea, and a much cheaper solution to trying to mockup in Microsoft Visio
Templatr allows you to mockup Word Press Blogs. We will spend a brief amount of time talking about blogs, I'll demonstrate their setup and explain the technology.
Based on some of the sties you are planning to make, I thought these were useful examples:
- Portolio Sites: Smasing Magazine | Portfolio Desgn.org | The Pro Designer | The Design Cubicle
- Fashion Sites: Smashing Magazine (with trend overview) | Web Designer Depot

Bad:
- http://www.istc.org/ (non scaling site - packed in the corner)
